Second Manapouri Tailrace Tunnel

Project Details:

This 10 metre wide 10 kilometre tail race tunnel was completed in 2002 to increase the efficiency of the Manapouri Power Scheme.

Fletchers Dillingham and Ilbau the Joint Venture partners contracted to build the project selected Rockbond Form Release (7.18) as the release agent used in the state-of-art continuous poured concrete tunnel lining.
