Rockbond 2.27 Multi-Cote has been developed as a high performance coating system that can be applied internally and externally as a render to almost any stable substrate including concrete, brick, block work and steel. Multi-Cote will form a hard wearing durable top coat to most substrates that require a waterproof coating that is inert and acid free and is acid and alkali resistant.
This product is packed in 10ltr plastic pails. When applying a 1mm thick coat a 10ltr pail will cover 8.8m2 (approx). The shelf life is 3 months when kept in cool dry conditions.
How to use:
The substrate must be clean, free of dirt, grease and loose materials and any other foreign matter. Multi-Cote must be mixed with clean potable water and can be applied by roller or brush to a thickness of 2mm. If an additional coat is required it can be applied in 3 to 4 hours time, subject to the drying conditions. Apply with a brush or roller (19mm nap) to the substrate to achieve an even coat of 1-2mm thick, 2 coats maybe required to achieve this. If a second coat is required allow 3-4hrs between coats for the product to set – it should be firm to the touch. Do not apply at thicker than 2mm as plastic cracking may occur as the product sets. Temperature and air movement can affect the set time allowances will need to be made for this. Apply between 7⁰C and 27⁰C both ambient and substrate temperature for optimum set. Allow 3-4 hours cure for open air service, 24-48hrs for tank filling, the product must be dry to the touch, and 5-7 days for full cure before filling pools.
